GLASS
FIBRE ROOFING
Traditional bitumen based waterproofing systems have been used since Roman times and we all know that a flat roof will eventually leak! The problem has generally been solved by either building a pitched roof over an existing Flat roof (a very expensive solution) or by specifying even more expensive solutions like lead or copper sheathing. GRP is more commonly known as 'glassfibre' and is a matrix of polyester resin reinforced with glass fibres and cured or hardened with a catalyst to give weatherproofing laminate that will outlast and outperform virtually any other traditional roofing material. A single ply GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) laminated formed in situ to give a continuous, highly durable weatherproof layer that will exclude water and maintain it's superb appearance for the life of the building. |
